Every Sunday from 9am-2pm you can find many Pasadenians shopping and eating at the Old Pasadena Farmers Market. The beauty behind this farmers market – it takes place on the weekend and the BEST part is this is a yearly farmers market instead of being seasonal.
Today, they held their “Fall Harvest Festival” which included a pie baking contest, square dancing to a live bluegrass band, and many fun festivities for children. They even had the one and only Mr. Pasadena to MC the event.
It was a great time with lots of enthusiastic kids who enjoyed an egg toss contest, butter churning and pressed apples lessons with Farm Style Cooking, and an apple bobbing contest.
The market is definitely worth checking out. It has slowly grown since it’s opening last year and has some great vendors who provide the freshest and tastiest veggies, fruits, breads, sweets, jams, honey and spices to name a few. I took some photos so you can see for yourself.
