The Magic Behind Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

Let’s face it, our bodies go through so much change throughout our lifetime. The older we get, the more we need to focus on taking care of our health, body and mind. This, of course, includes skincare. With age comes wrinkles, sun spots, uneven skin tone, and – unfortunately –  the list goes on.

Since I was young, I have suffered from oily skin, but have recently noticed that my face has started looking and feeling dry. Once I hit my thirties, I noticed sun spots, dryness, and blotchiness. To help battle all of these skin issues, I was in the market for a face mask that was deep cleaning. I wanted it to help take care of my impurities, blackheads, smooth out my skin and help my face shine (in the best kind of way), and not break the bank. Just like any other woman, I love pampering myself, but I really didn’t want to pay a fortune to take care of my skincare needs, when I can do it myself at home.

I searched online and found a variety of options, but the one I ended up choosing was a product called, Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I discovered this product on Amazon.com and was happy with what the product offered and the reviews. I was also super happy about the price point. You can’t beat $10 for a 1 lb tub.

Here is what you need to know about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay:

  • Deep pore cleaning
  • 100% natural calcium bentonite clay
  • Does not contain: Additives, fragrances, animal products
  • Recommended for facials, acne, body wraps, clay baths, foot soaks, chilled clay for knee packs and insect bites.

The product comes as a dry powder that you will need to mix with either apple cider vinegar (ACV) and/or water. If you can handle the smell of vinegar, I would recommend using ACV because it’s packed with nutrients that are beneficial for your skin.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Helps reduce age spots: Apple cider vinegar contains alpha hydroxy acids that will remove dead skin and reveal healthy and vibrant new skin.
  • Fights acne, pimples, and blemishes: Malic acid forms when apple cider is made and this makes it a potent antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral substance capable of keeping bacteria at bay and pimples from forming.
  • Balances your skin: Removes oil from skin while helping pH balance.
  • Fights wrinkles: I recommend making a toner by diluting ACV with water and dabbing this on your skin daily. This will minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Removes toxins from your face: Regular use of ACV will help draw toxins from your skin and leave a youthful and clean glow.

One of the reasons I love this healing clay face mask is because it deep cleans. If you suffer from blackheads, Indian Healing Clay will work wonders for you. Once you rinse off the face mask with warm water, proceed with focusing on any blackheads you may have. You will notice that they are easier to manage; this is because all of the impurities are now at the surface level. Although, I should mention that if you suffer from sensitive skin, be careful with using this product. I read in a few of the reviews, people with sensitive skin thought the product was a bit harsh for their skin. My recommendation is to read the reviews and then base your buy on your skin type.

Directions:

Use up to once a week or once a month for people who suffer from sensitive skin. Mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/or water. Use a non-metal bowl and utensil. Stir the mixture into a smooth paste. Add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the mask to the face or any other area. Let it dry for 5-10 minutes for delicate skin, and 15-20 minutes for normal skin. I keep it on for 30 minutes and have not encountered any issues. You will feel a pulling and a tightening sensation, this is totally normal. Remove clay by washing with warm water. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes.

If you start using the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, let me know how you like it. I wish you luck with your skincare endeavors!
