Dog Haus Running Club

Tonight I finished my sixth run with the Dog Haus running team. It wasn’t too long ago I was huffing and puffing to catch my breath while trying to finish one mile and now I am finished 3.2 miles in 34 minutes with an 11 minute mile. The more I run and the more I build up my endurance, the more I am enjoying running. It has become a way for me to relieve stress and free my mind.

I am thankful to have a running team that is so welcoming to new members and who are super friendly and motivating. They are excited to see me every week and are excited when they give me the number of that day’s run. For anyone who has a running team in their city or at least close to them, I would recommend joining their team. The Dog Haus team helps to keep me running and makes me be social with all of the other runners. It is a great way to make new friends!

Also, it helps that everyone get’s a beer and socializes afterwards. If you have been contemplating joining a running club or some other kind of fitness club, just do it! If you have the fear of not being as fast as everyone else or as fit, don’t worry about that. I am assuming the point of most of these clubs is to have the camaraderie of other runners and to enjoy getting to the finish line together as team.
